Changing Your Margins
The standard margins for a Word document are 1.25" on the left and right and 1" on the top and bottom. Here's how you can change them:
1. If you want to change the margins for a particular section, navigate in your document to that section.
2.
Go to File > Page Setup and choose the "Margins" tab.
3. Adjust the measurements as needed.
4. Select the "Apply to" option and choose one of these options.
This section: to change the margins in the current section only>
Whole document: to change the margins on every page in the document.
This point forward: to change the margins on every page from now on (a section break will automatically be inserted.
5. Click "OK" and you're done.
