Keep Your Place with Bookmarks

orking with large documents can get quite confusing, especially if you keep adding and deleting large blocks of text. Word provides a very easy way to quickly return to key points in your document. This method is called "adding bookmarks."

Save my Spot
Bookmarks, just like their real-world counterparts, are a great way to save your spot in a large document. Here's how to make and use them.

1. Use your cursor to select the text you want to bookmark.

2. Go to Insert > Bookmark.

3. Type a name for the bookmark and click "Add."

4. Repeat these steps as often as you like.

When you need to return to a bookmarked spot, just do the following:

1. Press the "F5" key and click on the "Go To" tab.

2. Choose "Bookmark" from the list.

3. Choose the bookmark that you want from the drop-down menu.

4. Click "Go To" and before you can say "bookmark," you'll be there. Word will select all of the text contained inside the bookmark.
